I've been reflecting lately on how amazing the human body is. How is it that we can grow another perfect little human being? It certainly feels amazing (although not at 2am when you can't sleep with reflux) & is such a huge journey to go down.
I am half way through my pregnancy & all is healthy & well. I'm keeping as active as possible with mostly walking, pregnancy yoga & the occasional light circuit workout. I am finding that I get a very sore tailbone if I overdo it & my body certainly doesn't hesitate to tell me when I have! So the walking isn't as much as I would like, but you just gotta listen & do what you can with what you have.
I have walked 905kms now & still intend to keep going until I'm otherwise told! I think it is so important to move & keep active during pregnancy for so many reasons, but a big one is your sanity!! There are so many hormonal changes going on (poor Michael) & some days you feel like absolute shite - so if you can keep moving & get in lots of fresh air then that's gotta be healthy for you.
I absolutely cannot wait until daylight saving starts in a few weeks. I do struggle with the darkness at the moment. Pre pregnancy it didn't worry me in the slightest, but now I feel a little more vulnerable out there on my own at 6am or 7pm! I have been meeting a friend for early walks on Tuesdays & just get in what I can on Thursdays (my admin day for Focus) or the weekends.
Thanks again for your continued support! I am always being asked about how the walking is going, it's really nice to have people genuinely care about this journey & the charities I hope to keep raising money for.
Until next time!
